What Publishing a Book Taught Me About Entrepreneurship
When most people think about publishing a novel, they picture the creative side: writing sessions, coffee shops, and story ideas scribbled into notebooks. But independently publishing Dozen Dates also required entrepreneurship — identifying my audience, testing ideas, building community, developing vendor and business relationships, marketing, and learning to adapt along the way.
The experience reinforced how connected creativity and business really are, especially when you’re trying to bring something meaningful into the world and into the hands of the right people.
